Cupping is a unique physical therapy in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Though some might find fire-cupping to be invasive at first glance, but in contrary, cupping is very safe in the hands of an experienced therapist. Our experienced acupuncturist offer fire-cupping services in Mississauga clinic.
How Cupping Works
Cupping improves circulation by bringing fresh blood to the outer layer of the skin and sucks out pain, tension and toxins from the body. The theory behind it is to dispel “stagnation” and then regulate the flow of qi and blood. It is effectively for:
- Promoting Qi and blood circulation
- Reducing swelling and pain
- Removing toxins
About the cupping therapy Procedure
At Master Acupuncture Healing Centre, We offer affordable 30-minute cupping sessions. When cupping therapy is used we perform it the old-fashioned way called ‘fire-cupping’. Since heat and suction is the best way to create blood flow and circulation, fire-cupping remains to be the most effective form of cupping.
We only use soothing cupping techniques in our Mississauga clinic that maximize healing and minimize discomfort. Our therapist use torched cups to generate incredible suction and heat waves. The glass cups are applied to the problem area and then left on for about 5-10 minutes. We can either leave the cups as they are or massage with them, sliding the cups on the muscles and applying soothing pressure. When the skin is sucked up, it causes blood to rise without any risk for a painful reaction. Patients will simply feel as if someone is pulling at their skin.
Our technique should feel as incredible as the results. With any other of the techniques we use, if any part of the treatment is uncomfortable we encourage patients to let us know.
For pain relief, skin care, facial rejuvenation combining cupping with acupuncture provides profound effect. If you choose our core service acupuncture then 10-minute cupping session could be included at no extra cost.
